I have been involved in a third-generation family business for over 27 years. We always ran really successful businesses, but we could never resolve the conflict we experienced as a result of the complexity of family, business and ownership. This caused an extreme breakdown in our family relations and social interaction. It left my father with shattered dreams and regrets and his kids with lifelong scars. 

Today I know my father did the best he knew how, but also know that there are better ways to do family business. Through extensive family business research and study, I found answers to these unique dynamics and complexities and I have made it my life’s mission to help other families do it better.

Family businesses should be the bedrock of our economy and they’re not, because of a lack of knowledge.

I believe it’s my job to fix this.
